The Lady in Red and Blue — Original Love Poem

The Lady in Red and Blue - Poem

The Lady in Red and Blue

Emotion returned like a breath held too long. Suddenly, there she was. She appeared warm and welcoming, inviting him into the red fog that engulfed her, revealing only her shadowy figure. A goddess in vermillion, meant only to be worshipped. He must confess he was possessed—drawn too fast, too willing, rushing in.

Her outline was disfigured, cold, and blue. Unfinished like a painting. Surrounded by the promise of a forever winter, one could only panic. Running toward the end, only to find himself approaching. Breaking through the image of the future, a shard of ice pierced his chest—the cold sting leaving behind a long lost love.
